The City of Philadelphia 2008
Summer Programs Guide
The City of Philadelphia has created
a guide
for the 2008 summer youth programs. Its goal is to encourage
and enhance the development of the physical, cultural, artistic,
and life skills of the residents of the City.
The City pledges to maintain safe, clean, fully functional and professionally staffed facilities to provide for effective delivery of programs, activities, and services. In addition, the City seeks to promote a spirit of cooperation, build self-esteem, encourage healthy competition, and develop lifelong recreational interests among all program participants.
The City of Philadelphia 2008 Guide of Summer Programs is downloadable from www.phila.gov. It provides comprehensive information for a variety of summer educational and recreational activities provided by the City of Philadelphia.
PhillySOS also offers a online searchable summer camp directory.
